E-Learning
We now offer educators a professional development subscription site that includes a series of tutorials, two modules, and social networking features that foster sharing and best practices in assessment and data use. Our e-learning tools allow educators and educator groups to access content relevant to their practice on their schedules, saving time and money. The link to the professional development subscription site is accessible from the DATAWISE dashboard; however, you don't need to be a DATAWISE user to subscribe to tutorials and/or modules.
Tutorials
Tutorials organize knowledge-level content into a series of short snippets. Each series has five or more snippets with guiding questions to frame the content. These tutorials can be used as prerequisite training before face-to-face workshops, as post-training refreshers, or as on-demand references. Click below to view tutorials. Our current tutorial series include:
- Aligning Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment with Standards
- Assessment Literacy
- Interim Assessment and Data Use
- Putting Assessment Data into Action
Modules
Modules build off of the tutorials and include longer, more complex videos that analyze assessment topics and techniques. Modules contain clips of live teachers in action and students talking about their learning.
- Implementing Formative Assessment for Quality Instruction, includes built-in facilitation stopping points that encourage discussion.
- The Examining Student Work module can help your teacher teams understand the power of collaboration in evaluating classroom student work or assessments. This module includes a downloadable facilitation guide for professional learning communities and/or learning teams.
