Founding Principal Stuart Kahl co-founded Measured Progress as Advanced Systems in Measurement and Evaluation, Inc. in 1983, serving as vice president during the company's first fourteen years and as president and chief executive officer since 1997. A former elementary and secondary teacher, Dr. Kahl earned degrees from Johns Hopkins University and from the University of Colorado. He worked for the Education Commission of the States, the University of Colorado, and RMC Research Corporation, where he helped generate statewide assessment business and directed several state contracts. A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Dr. Kahl also serves as a technical consultant to various education agencies. In recent years, he has been recognized for his work in the areas of standard setting for non-multiple-choice instruments and the alignment of curriculum and assessment. President and Chief Executive Officer Martin Borg joined Measured Progress as president in November of 2008 and was appointed chief executive officer in 2011. Mr. Borg is an experienced and dedicated educator who is committed to helping students and teachers in the classroom. Prior to joining Measured Progress, he taught social studies, served as a school district technology officer, developed an online test delivery system, and started his own company, which he ultimately sold to a testing company. |  Martin Borg |

Chief Operating Officer Lisa Ehrlich joined Measured Progress in 1994. She has served in numerous capacities, most recently as chief operating officer. In her role, Dr. Ehrlich leads, directs, and oversees business operations for Measured Progress's multiple departments and campuses, including planning, designing, and leading continuous process improvements throughout the company. Prior to her tenure at Measured Progress, Dr. Ehrlich worked for 13 years at Digital Equipment Corporation, where she managed training projects, products, and educational services departments; administered programs; and acted as liaison to both customers and executive committees. Chief Information Officer Thomas K. Squeo, Measured Progress's chief information officer, joined Measured Progress in 2010 to oversee and develop strategic information systems technology. Mr. Squeo's extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of testing and assessment has led him to direct a technology consulting group dedicated to developing and delivering educational technology throughout K-20 education. In addition, he has developed and delivered net-centric applications and information distribution systems for the United States intelligence community, and has spearheaded Internet strategy, operations, and technology portfolio management for major academic publishers. |  Thomas K. Senior Vice President, Large-Scale Business Development Richard Dobbs is responsible for state-level business development and the analysis of federal legistation and national education reform efforts. Before joining Measured Progress in 2004, he served as vice president of sales and marketing, an educational consultant to school districts in thirteen states, and a classroom teacher in traditional and open-concept schools. Mr. Dobbs holds degrees in educational administration and elementary education. Senior Vice President, Client Services Timothy Crockett has served in a number of senior leadership positions in education and assessment for more than thirty years. He joined Measured Progress in 1993 and manages the company's statewide general and alternate assessment work in his role as senior vice president. At Measured Progress, Mr. Crockett has served as director of program management, assistant vice president, and vice president of client services. He began his career in the classroom as a fifth-grade teacher and went on to serve as a school principal and district curriculum director; he later worked in the assessment division at the Maine Department of Education. In addition, he served as a school board member for SAU-16, Hallowell-Farmingdale, Maine. He provides strategic leadership, with a special focus on developing products and services to improve teaching and learning. Mr. Swartz is a veteran assessment professional and educator. He comes to Measured Progress after five years at Riverside Publishing, where he most recently served as president.
