General Supervision Enhancement Grants

Under section 616(i)(2) of IDEA, the US DOE Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services awards grants to provide technical assistance to improve the capacity of states to meet data collection requirements. The grant projects must help states ensure that they are designing strong systems of assessment and instruction to address the needs of children with disabilities, and that the assessments produce valid, reliable, and accurate measures of student performance and result in high quality data for use in evaluating the performance of schools, districts, and states.
