Comprehensive Assessment Systems: Leadership for Continuous Learning, Progress, and Achievement

January 13–14, 2009
Atlanta, Georgia
(Measured Progress and AdvancED)

Put the pieces together.

Assessments should do more than satisfy accountability requirements.

They should:

  • Reshape curriculum
  • Inform day-to-day instruction
  • Guide administrative decisions

But not all assessment information is created equal.

In this institute, you’ll not only learn the benefits of each type of assessment, you’ll have the option to work with your peers and our facilitators on your own school or district assessment plans. You’ll also walk away with the start of a plan, thanks to dedicated work time with your peers.

Be prepared to be vocal!

You’ll learn to:

  • Define and understand comprehensive assessment systems
  • Investigate approaches for incorporating quality assessment practices
  • Examine conditions to enable, support, and sustain a comprehensive assessment system

Who should attend?

Leadership teams consisting of:

  • Administrators
  • Teacher leaders
  • School improvement teams
  • District personnel
