In a national review, a state assessment task force ranked the PTS reading tests as the highest of those reviewed in relation to both depth of knowledge and alignment to state grade-level expectations. In the same review, the PTS mathematics items received the highest ranking for depth of knowledge in six out of eight comparisons.
